This systematic review focused on unmasking the ef- fect and/or importance of serious games and contem- porary didactic strategies in healthcare. A comprehen- sive query of databases were queried using the key- words. This was followed by a systematic review of the included sources. Serious games and contempo- rary didactic strategies have a positive impact in the healthcare sector. Patients enjoyed the benefits of the adherence and simplification of medical activities re- quired of them, like physical activity. Collectively, skills, knowledge, hands-on experience and compe- tence, along with the behaviors, elevate the quality of healthcare delivery: both the patients and healthcare workers benefit significantly. While the latter build skills, knowledge, and hands-on or practical experi- ence, the former enjoys simplified and hassle-free in- terventions. Future healthcare interventions will un- doubtedly be better if integrated with SG.
