There are several ways that Cultural Heritage field can benefit from the Image Processing field; in particular, Image Processing can be useful by means of tools able to protect the digital reproductions of art works and by means of Virtual Restoration tools, able both to simulate the actual restoration that can be performed over the real art work and to process digital images in order to improve their appearance or to highlight some interesting features. In the following, an integrated software for Image Processing of Cultural Heritage images is presented; this tool has been created by joining together the results of several years of research accomplished at MICC and DET.
