In the Industry 5.0 paradigm, where human-centricity and sustainability are paramount, there is a pressing need for a comprehensive framework to evaluate the social sustainability of products through the lens of employee well-being. This paper proposes a human-centric product sustainability index specifically tailored for this purpose. The index incorporates a multidimensional assessment of product processes, utilizing various indicators based on standardized methods. Sensor-based approaches enhance the objectivity and accuracy of the analysis. By providing a quantitative and standardized measure, the index facilitates informed decision-making, promotes responsible product design and manufacturing, and reduces occupational health risks.
