The literature outlines knowledge, methodologies, and theoretical and practical tools to make sports contexts welcoming and affirming towards LGBTQ+ older people, promoting their healthy aging. Four themes were explored: 1) double stereotype: age and minorized identity; 2) discrimination and invisibilization of older LGBTQ+ adults; 3) access to sports services; 4) gender, sexual orientation, and gender identity: specificity. The proposed policy and good practice interventions have three dimensions: awareness, training, and situated action. The aim is to promote affirmative spaces that prevent discrimination and value everyone’s identity.

The proposed policy and good practice interventions have three dimensions: awareness, training, and situated action. The aim is to promote affirmative spaces that prevent discrimination and value everyone’s identity.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
