In Future Studies, the scenario planning process represents a valuable approach to build images of plausible futures, to set better policy actions in the present. However, the whole process requires great efforts due to the time consuming in selecting the key drivers and issues on the selection of a panel of experts. With the proliferation of web-based quantitative and qualitative data, more information can be obtained, starting from bibliometric data. We propose a methodology to speed up the Scanning phase, by adopting a combination of text mining and network analysis in a chain of steps in which the two approaches integrate to each other. We applied the approach to create useful materials for building future scenarios for remote working.

Abstract
In Future Studies, the scenario planning process represents a valuable approach to build images of plausible futures, to set better policy actions in the present. However, the whole process requires great efforts due to the time consuming in selecting the key drivers and issues on the selection of a panel of experts. With the proliferation of web-based quantitative and qualitative data, more information can be obtained, starting from bibliometric data. We propose a methodology to speed up the Scanning phase, by adopting a combination of text mining and network analysis in a chain of steps in which the two approaches integrate to each other. We applied the approach to create useful materials for building future scenarios for remote working.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
