L’articolo si inserisce nel dibattito sulle aree interne da una prospettiva geografica, utilizzando metodi di analisi critica dei discorsi. Si esamina il ruolo del patrimonio materiale e immateriale nei processi di territorializzazione delle aree interne indagando come i documenti politici costruiscano un discorso autorizzato sull’ heritage. In questa cornice teorico-metodologica, si descrive il caso del Museo Diffuso dei Sicani, in Sicilia: un’offerta turistica esperienziale che promuove la «paesanità», intesa come stile di vita del paese. Si discutono diversi aspetti di questo progetto, rappresentativo delle tendenze nazionali di progettazione turistica in aree interne. The «village lifestyle» as authorised heritage: the Museo Diffuso of the Sicani The article contributes to the debate on inner peripheries from a geographical perspective, employing methods of critical discourse analysis. It explores the role of both tangible and intangible heritage in the processes of territorialisation of inner peripheries examining how political documents construct an authorized discourse on heritage. Within this theoretical and methodological framework, the case of the Museo Diffuso dei Sicani in Sicily is described: an experiential tourism offer that promotes the village lifestyle. Various aspects of this project, which is representative of national trends in the tourism design of inner peripheries, are discussed.
