Abstract

The aim of the present paper is to explore decolonial practices carried out by migrants in intercultural encounters. Drawing on a corpus-based approach, the studyexplores the use of code-switching made by migrants and underlines how this is not an automatic process that takes place within the conversational setting but rather represents a conscious “decolonial option”, a way for co-constructing meaning and identity in multicultural contexts.
