This paper highlights the role of the web into business models. The analysis of literature of economics and management has identified the need an new approach into model of strategic management in reference to complex products and to evolution of consumer behavior. The study, from a brief analysis of structuralist studies and strategic management, highlights the need to consider the role of IT in business models. In consequence of the evolution of demand and supply it is important the business analysis to define strategies. The study considers a new definition of consumer (usumer) and product (good + service), which are emerged from previous works. Finally, we propose a reworking of the model of Abell. This study, after considering complex products and usumer, aims to revision of Abell’s model, in order to suggest new guidelines and interpretations mainly aimed to complex products, into a information technology perspective
