The purpose of this book is to describe how Calvino, Pasolini and Volponi foresaw the effects of a technical administration of society, such as the progressive dehumanisation and dissemination of narratives dissociated from reality. Like a raven peering down on the general destinies from above, Calvino tells of conflict without epic, efficiency without effectiveness, utopia without hope, reading without knowledge; Pasolini focuses on his own splitting to reflect the irreconcilability between trasumanar and organizzar, between the transcendence of individualism and the technocratic model of society, while, more involved in industrial practices and without nostalgias for bucolic exoticisms, Volponi points to the risks of a cybernetic interpretation of life on a (too) irritable planet. Today, this social engineering and its neo-modernist culture have triumphed, impacting even on the professions of knowledge, thus deprived of their natural passion for the ‘reverse of things’.

Abstract
Today, this social engineering and its neo-modernist culture have triumphed, impacting even on the professions of knowledge, thus deprived of their natural passion for the ‘reverse of things’.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
