already been studied by Papaoikonomou et al. (2011) using a frameworkoriented literature review (Paul & Criado, 2020) on a sample of 25 studies. A recently published review (Carrington et al., 2021) studied a broader sample of articles examining ethics’ role in consumption. Still, it was just targeted at understanding the different aspects of ethical consumption. On the same page, this work opens with a bibliometric analysis of the academic journal articles published in the last 15 years (2005–2020), which we have collected using both Scopus and Web of Science Core Collection databases. In this chapter, we adopt a different approach to factor in the growing diffusion of studies on ethical consumption and ethical consumer behavior in the last few years. Moreover, we try to capture this broadness of studies to identify the main trends and themes that have driven this field evolution by using a systematic review with a bibliometric approach, and we prove to make this effort contextualized using a case study. Our research aim is to provide a conceptual map of the main themes that have united the studies on business ethics, corporate social responsibility, and consumer behavior to comprehend how they have evolved and to provide insights for future research. Hence, the objectives of this study are (a) to review and critically analyze the current level of extant research; (b) to represent the evolution of the field concepts and themes; (c) to provide a contextualized case study; and (d) finally, to present a fruitful avenue for future research.

Abstract
already been studied by Papaoikonomou et al. Hence, the objectives of this study are (a) to review and critically analyze the current level of extant research; (b) to represent the evolution of the field concepts and themes; (c) to provide a contextualized case study; and (d) finally, to present a fruitful avenue for future research.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
